How to reach. By air. Nearest international airport is at Chandigarh, 214 km from Mandi. Two domestic are also available, Dharamsala gaggal airport which is 150 km from Mandi, the other one is Bhuntar kullu airport which is 50 km from Mandi.
By Railway. Nearest railway station is at Kiratpur Sahib by Delhi Una train route. It takes 3 to 4 hours to reach Mandi.
Manali is well connected by road with two main highways, Chandigarh-Manali and Pathankot-Mandi.

This town is an important place to visit in Mandi. The small lake is square-like whose total area is 735m and the lake is covered with dense plantations. Rewalsar is a place where Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhist live with togetherness and brotherhood.

4. Barot. The village of Barot got limelight when the Shanan Hydroelectric Project was proposed around 1920 in Himachal  Pradesh. Trek to Kamrunag starts from Rohada and 8km up trek to Kamrunag. The small village is called Kamrunag because there is a temple of lord Kamrunag in this place. It is believed that every year on 14-15 June Lord Kamrunag visits this place. There are also stories about this place in Mahabharata.  By Road. The only and best way to reach is by road through the NH_22 
from Shimla to Reckong peo. You can book a taxi and visit by local buses from Shimla. 
By Railway. Nearest railway station is at Shimla 244 km from Reckong peo.

Best time to visit. March to October.
In Winters, the temperature goes down to minus and there is heavy snowfall.

2. Kalpa. Kalpa is a small village located up from Reckong Peo at an altitude of 2940m from sea level. Kalpa is located in Satluj valley is the home of Hindu and Buddhist, where both the religion lives with peace and respect. 3. Sarahan. Sarahan, the small village, locates at an altitude of 2100m, famous for its Bhima devi temple. Chitkul ramain covered with snow during Winters and locals move to the lower area of Kinnaur. 6. Nako. Nako is the highest village in Kinnaur district located at an altitude of 3633m from sea level. The small lake between the village and greenery around it creates masses in the village, Also the snow in Winters adds majestic beauty to the village. 
Nako is the gateway for Spiti valley and located 117km from Kalpa near Indo_China border. Hangrang valley, Buddist temples, Langang temple are some famous and picturesque destinations in Nako. There are staying huts for visitors. They are small but comfortable.

7. Trekking. Trekking is the best, adventurous and best way to get more close with nature and to get  off from your boring life. Kasol also called mini Israel, is a small village located in Parvati valley on the bank of Parvati river at an altitude of 1583m in kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. The little Hamlet is free from any race of urbanization, and is a place best for trekking, camping and spending time far from the city crowd. Kasol is located on the way between Bhuntar and Manikaran. Kasol has a number of trekking sites like Kheerganga village trek, Sach pass trek, Pin Parvati trek, Pir Panjal trek etc. Kasol also has culture and traditional values.There is a place called Malana village, this village has its own traditions, democracy and festivals. 1. Kheerganga. Located at an altitude of 3050m from sea level, Kheerganga is the best place to visit and trek in Kasol. The trek to Kheerganga starts from Barshani and after about 12km of trek which takes 5 to 6 hours ends at Kheerganga.

8. Kerala. Kerala is the Southern state of India is very diverse in culture, located in the tropical region of Malabar coast. Kerala is worth of time, and is famous for temples, backwater, beaches, food, culture, waterfalls, hill stations etc.

10. Pondicherry. Pondicherry is a city and union territory located in South India. It is covered by Southeast state Tamil Nadu. Pondicherry is very famous among foreigners for its unique and different places and culture. Pondicherry is also called as mini France.

How to reach.  The nearest railway station is at Villupuram, 35km from Pondicherry.

11. Jaipur. Jaipur also called as Pink city and Old city is the capital of Rajasthan, is also a famous tourist destination. Jaipur is filled with numerous historical buildings, temples, Museums and Palaces etc. Jaipur is also home for few UNESCO world heritage sites like Amer fort and Jantar Mantar. Dharamsala is divided in two places: lower and upper dharamsala. Upper dharamsala is called Mcleodganj. Every year a number of tourists visit this place. Dharamsala exists in Dhauladhar range. 14. Tawang. Tawang is a small hill station in Arunachal Pradesh, located at an altitude of 2669 m from sea level, to the east of Bhutan. Tawang is a town which has rich Buddhist culture, so it has a number of beautiful monasteries. Not just Monasteries, Tawang is also rich in natural beauty, there are a number of valleys, trekking sites and Sanctuaries. Tawang is also famous as the birthplace of Dalai Lama.

15. Kaziranga National Park. Kaziranga National Park is a national park located in Assam in India famous for its single horned rhinos. There are more than 2000 rhinos. 16. Nagaland. Not all of you are aware that the north eastern state, Nagalad is highly rich in natural resources and beauty, history, culture and is a place to have in your Indian travel Bucket list.
